Potty Training The Dog, Please Help?

Can I Still Train My Dog A Trick After I've "poisoned" It?
After reading the instructions from a dog training book i decided i 'd try and train my dog the balance and catch trick.. so i held my dog 's mouth shut, put a treat on his nose, let go and had him "waiiiiit " and then i said "catch! " and he caught it perfectly. second session comes along and he starts acting like he doesn 't even know it is on his nose, so i get really frustrated with him, and i know he knew because now whenever i try to get him to do the trick his ears go back and he lowers his head. i 'm doing it playfully too.. i will give him a few tricks that he aces right before that one, and even play tug of war to get him in that dominant frame of mind for the trick but even then as soon as the treat is on his nose he gets scared. i did not hit him or yell at him; but i know i was really frustrated. is there any way i can get him to perform the trick again? i 've been trying to get him to do it again for the past 3 days.i don 't know why he would associate it with punishment.. he probably associates it with play though; that is how i play with him. again, he was happy go lucky the first time we did it, and aced it.poisoned dog trick means you have associated the trick/ command with something negative(me getting frustrated).wait a minute, did i not say that i didn 't yell at or hit him in my description, or were you so stupid that you couldn 't read it?
